Are you considering Zoom for your company’s video communications, but unsure of where to find the breakdown of Zoom pricing plan details? We’ve got you covered. Keep reading for Zoom’s subscription plans and cost information.
What is Zoom?
Zoom seemed to have taken over the telecommunication market by a landslide in 2020, amongst the COVID-19 pandemic. And for good reason – Zoom was one of the first teleconferencing systems that didn’t require any extra hardware, besides a laptop. Zoom focuses on being a multi-use platform. Unlike Skype, which would require an additional download of Skype Business, in order to have chat rooms that could support multiple users. For this reason, Zoom was the ideal candidate for businesses looking to transition into working from home and keeping it accessible for all members of their teams. Zoom is beginner friendly, easy to navigate, and reliable. With new key security features, Zoom makes all streams 256-bit encrypted and allows for passcode protection in order to join a call.

Zoom Product Comparison
In an effort to compete with Zoom, Google released a similar product in 2017 called Google Meet. While both brands are commonly used amongst businesses, Zoom can support up to 1,000 members in a single chatroom, while Google Meet can only support a quarter of that at 250 members. All Zoom subscriptions include breakout rooms, meeting recording, and whiteboard, however, Google Meet only offers these features with additional software or paid plans. Zoom is compatible with 80% more integrations than Google Meet. However, many users are drawn to Google Meet for its ease of use.
